Purpose

To provide information and data regarding climate change scenarios for the state of Idaho.

Significance

Climate forecasts for Idaho are important for a variety of reasons, including public safety, agricultural planning, biological processes, water management, and economic policy. Water resource management is becoming more critical as competition for water increases, while water supplies diminish.

The ability to accurately forecast in the Intermountain West is complicated by the dynamic terrain of the region.
